Your body isn’t a to-do list rethinking wellness for busy women

Speaker at Traditional Medicine and Integrative Health 2027 - Sweta Vikram

Title : Your body isn’t a to-do list rethinking wellness for busy women

Abstract:

For many busy women, wellness has become one more thing to accomplish. Exercise. Meditate. Meal prep. Sleep eight hours. Take the supplements. Drink enough water. Manage stress. Practice self-care. When every recommendation becomes another item on an already crowded list, even wellness can become a source of pressure. In this 20-minute presentation, Ayurvedic Doctor (A.D.), leading emotional wellbeing expert, and international speaker, Sweta Vikram challenges the productivity-driven approach to health and explores what Ayurveda can teach us about creating well-being that responds to the body rather than demands more from it. Women often move through multiple roles and responsibilities while navigating changing energy, hormonal transitions, caregiving demands, professional pressures, and emotional labor. Yet many conventional wellness messages offer standardized solutions without accounting for individual constitution, season of life, environment, or current capacity. Ayurveda offers a different perspective: health is dynamic, and what supports us must evolve as we do. Participants will learn how seemingly healthy habits can become counterproductive when they ignore exhaustion, changing needs, or the body’s signals. Rather than adding another complicated routine, attendees will be invited to identify where they may be overriding their bodies in the name of productivity or wellness and consider simple ways to work with their energy instead of continually pushing against it. The goal is not to do wellness perfectly. It is to develop the awareness to recognize what the body needs now—and the permission to respond accordingly. Because your body is not another project to optimize. It is the foundation that makes everything else possible.
