Title : What is Qi?
Abstract:
Qi is subtle matter and usually invisible to the human eye. It consists of visible and invisible components. The components whose speed is less than or equal to the speed of light are visible. The components whose speed exceeds the speed of light are invisible. According to ancient Chinese philosophy, qi permeates and constitutes everything that exists; as generative matter, it is the origin of all life and the primordial substance of all phenomena in the universe. This energy-matter is also the essence of human life and the basic building blocks that constitute the human body." So wrote Master Guo Bingsen, founder of the Dao Yuan School in 1998, in his book “Qigong in Theory and Practice, Fan Teng Gong, the Healing Qigong.” He wrote this at a time when the speed of light was still considered by modern science to be the absolute limit of human perception. Although qi cannot normally be perceived with the five human senses, it can be felt. This usually happens within the first five minutes of some qigong exercises. In this workshop, we will try this with the basic exercise of Fan Teng Gong, the “Qigong for difficult-to-treat diseases, including cancer, ” as it was called at the time of the opening of Qigong in China.
