Title : Ancestral medicine in modern times: The living wisdom of there Zenu people and its physical-spiritual healing system
Abstract:
Ethnomedicine: Understanding illness as an imbalance between body, lineage, spirit, and territory, applying the diagnostic frameworks and healing principles of the Zenú tradition.
Ethnopharmacology: Studying the physical and spiritual properties of plants, their elemental correspondences, and their ceremonial uses.
Ethnobotany: Preserving traditional plant knowledge and its relationship to cosmology, solar and lunar cycles, and elemental forces. Traditional Zenú medicine and Cetería (the spiritual science reserved for women) form the core of the Sinuano female shamanic path. Their ceremonial, territorial, and cosmological principles sustain the Zenú process of healing. Her work and research show how this ancestral knowledge can be ethically applied and adapted in any territory of Spain or Europe, honoring local ecosystems while maintaining the integrity of Zenú spiritual and medicinal science.
