Biography:
Prof. Dr. R. Kozłowski graduated from A. Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Poland (chemical faculty, applied chemistry). Professor of Chemical Technology. Director General of Institute of Natural Fibres (1987 – 2008). 2009 – 2015 scientific advisor at the Institute for Engineering of Polymer Materials and Dyes in Toruń. From 2004: editor – in- chief Journal of Natural Fibers (Taylor & Francis, USA). Lecturer in many research centres in the world, including Institute of Herbal and Natural Therapy, Warsaw, Poland. Professor Honoris Causa of Pontifical Catholic University Ibarra, Ecuador. Coordinator of FAO ESCORENA European Cooperative Research Network on Flax, Hemp and other Bast Plants. Editor and author of chapters in more than 20 books, e.g. Handbook of Natural Fibres. Member of American Chemical Society. 26 patents.
