Title : Diabo-ayurveda: Focus of ayurveda as an ancient system of medicine as an anti-diabetic genre

Abstract:

The rising incidence of diabetes mellitus on a global scale has amplified the demand for effective management strategies, including the use of herbal remedies. These natural alternatives are becoming increasingly recognized for their potential to complement traditional medical interventions by enhancing insulin sensitivity, regulating glucose metabolism, and reducing levels of oxidative stress. This paper  carefully evaluates the effectiveness, mechanisms of action, and limitations of key herbal remedies for diabetes management. A comprehensive literature search will be conducted using databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and Google   scholar, focusing on studies published between 2015 and 2023. Inclusion criteria consisted of peer-reviewed clinical trials, systematic reviews, and in vivo studies that presented quantitative data. Search phrases included "herbal remedies," "management of diabetes," and "regulation of glycemic levels. " The GRADE framework will be applied to assess the quality of the evidence acquired. The findings reveal six notable herbs: Gymnema sylvestre, Momordica charantia (Bitter Melon), Fenugreek, Aloe vera, Cinnamon, and Garlic. These plants exhibit various mechanisms of action, such as inhibiting sugar absorption, promoting insulin secretion, and mitigating oxidative stress.online study’s  Clinical evidence suggests their capacity to improve glycemic control; however, challenges persist, including inconsistencies in standardization, a lack of large-scale studies, and potential interactions between herbal treatments and pharmaceuticals. The review emphasizes the importance of rigorous clinical validation and standardized preparation methods to ensure both safety and effectiveness. Recommendations include the integration of these remedies with professional oversight, educating patients on their usage, and highlighting the need for research to fill existing gaps in evidence. By combining traditional knowledge with modern scientific techniques, herbal treatments can play a significant role in comprehensive diabetes management, potentially reducing the reliance on medications and enhancing patient outcomes.
