Title : Medicinal plants used in scorpion bite treatment in North Africa
Abstract:
Extracts from plants have been used among traditional healers, especially in Africa, where there are plentiful sources, as therapy for scorpion bites for a long time. Several medicinal plants, which appear in old drug recipes or have been passed on by oral tradition, are believed to be scorpion bite antidotes. Considering the socio-medical problem due to the scorpion sting, this review brings together scientific papers indicating the effectiveness of medicinal plants for the treatment of scorpion stings, providing information to researchers for a better future.
