Biography:
Dr. Jose P. Peralta is a retired full Professor/ Food Engineer at the Inst. Of Fish Processing Technology, Univ. of the Phil. Visayas, and graduated Ph D from Texas A & M University, in 1990. Started work on marine bioactives in 2002-Geongsang National University, Korea. Followed through work on soluble peptides in 2005- 07 in Kyushu University, Japan. Thereafter, initiated peptide research through USAID -STRIDE grant in 2017. This was continued by DOST-CRADLE Program, 2019- 2022. The results of which are the current state of research work on marine peptides. He has published on marine bioactives and others; in books and SCI(E) journals.
