Biography:
Dr. Bimal Kumar Choudhury was born in the year 1982 in India. He is currently working in the rank of Assistant Director in the Animal Husbandry department of the Government of Odisha. After completing his DVM, he pursued the PGDAEM from MANAGE,Hyderabad. Then he worked in the corporate sector for five years and later joined the state Government. He has been practising Ethno Veterinary Medicine in the treatment of animals for the last 12 years. As a faculty member at Dairy Vocational College, he contributed to Academia, delivered lectures on Veterinary Ayurveda at different Ayurveda Colleges, and trained many Veterinary Doctors from different states. He is also teaching at various academic institutes like Ximb, KIT,SIMS. He has established 120 cows dairy farm & a processing unit in Odisha. He has been providing consultancy in preparation of DPR & eatablishment of livestock farms in different parts of Odisha through Kisan Success Consultancy (An agri- startup for the Startups). Being the national Youth President of the Indian Veterinary Association, he is promoting Ayurveda in the Veterinary domain. As the Programme Director of the SAARC Veterinary Association,he also promulgates Veterinary Ayurveda in Asia and other parts of the world. Representing IVA, he works on Anti-Microbial Resistance and Sustainable One Health in collaboration with WHO, WOAH ,UNEP & FAO. He is part of premier organizations like the World Ayurveda Congress, Trans-Disciplinary University, NDDB, World Veterinary Association, FAVA, American College of Veterinary Botanical Medicine, and Rosenberg European Academy of Ayurveda.
